Demand a better future for America's iconic bison!

Yellowstone Bison mother and calf
The American bison is facing treatment undeserving of their historical status, or their place in the foundation of the American west.

All around the Yellowstone area, we are still needlessly slaughtering Greater Yellowstone bison, and not allowing them in Montana year-round. Instead of policy driven by fear, we need policy driven by science and common-sense. A common-sense approach to bison management includes expanding year-round access to habitat adjacent to Yellowstone National Park, working with local ranchers on solutions to minimize the risk of disease transmission, allowing the Park Service and Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks to manage bison as valued wildlife, and using the best available science.

The way the American bison is being managed by the state of Montana and the National Park Service is currently being taken under consideration, and we must demand the agencies that manage the bison do so with the best, most scientific intentions, creating a plan that gives bison a permanent home, and spares them of the horrors of the annual cull.

Take action today to demand the best future for the American bison and ensure their fair treatment as the iconic western species they are!
