Build an expanded, inclusive future for the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument!

Hikers in the San Gabriel National Monument

Thanks to the effort of many people over many years, President Obama declared the San Gabriel Mountains a national monument, securing additional protections for this region last October.

But the campaign for the future of the San Gabriels is not over, there's still critical places to protect, expansions that can be made and safeguards for the land and water that must be won.

It's critical that the communities that fought for the San Gabriels continue to actively participate in the development of the management plan for the new monument, working to improve access and recreational amenities, while protecting waters and habitats. The Forest Service is currently making their Monument management plan and you can help to shape the future of this backyard paradise.

The Forest Service wants to hear from you on their plan for the future of how the San Gabriel National Monument will be managed. Demand they make the right plan!
