The Coal Free Oklahoma Campaign will not only ensure that no new coal plants or expansions will be permitted in this state, but also focus on the need to phase out existing coal plants to protect the health and safety of our citizens. There's a lot going on and several ways you can help keep our air clean.

Oklahoma Chapter Lobby Day 2014
Oklahoma State Capitol, Room 412A

Oklahoma Capitol

Join the Oklahoma Chapter of the Sierra Club for a Lobby Day at the State Capitol!

Lobbyists for big corporations and voices who want to undermine environmental progress speak to our elected officials every day. We need your help to counter their efforts and provide a voice for the environmental movement!

On April 8, we will show legislators the power of a grassroots environmental movement and focus the attention of the media on the environment.

When elected officials receive an email they take notice.  When they receive a phone call they pay attention.  When they actually meet a constituent who talks with them about the issue, they listen.  When the media sees a group of dedicated activists, it's a story.

With your help, we can show elected officials in Oklahoma that the environment is a vital issue for many voters.

We are continually tracking legislation as it moves through the process and will have handouts available as well as speakers to discuss the bills our training and rally.
