Retro-Fit Day Of Action, Service Project
Retrofit Day of ACTION!
Lend-a-hand To Stop Climate-Pollution
The Beyond Coal Campaign has worked tirelessly to stop toxic pollution from coal-fired power plants. We have sent millions of comments to elected and regulatory officials, we have campaigned in support of clean energy investments, and we have protested utilities still spewing coal-plant pollution. Now, we are taking matters into our own hands by helping to reduce climate-pollution by talking to our neighbors, and redefining the way our communities consume energy.
The Retrofit Day of Action (RDA) is Retrofit A Million’s flagship service-learning project that helps low-income communities benefit from money-saving energy efficiency practices and reduces our toxic global warming pollution from coal-fired power.
All Volunteers will recieve on-site training in the safety, delivery, and installation of the Retrofit Efficiency Packages.
Forest Park City Council officials will be present leading the call to go "Beyond Coal". At the Forest Park Retro-Fit Day of Action, we hope to deliver up to 25 energy-efficient CFLs to over 1,000 households, distribute 500 water-conservation kits, and to performing energy audits FREE OF CHARGE to Forest Park residents of modest means.
