Sierra Club - Explore, enjoy and protect the planet

Dear Friend,

We can't all run 100 miles. But we can all help promote Matt's run on social media.

Donate a social media post with just a few clicks to help #Wind100 go viral.

Take Action!

Hey, it's me, Matt Kearns again. Hopefully by now you've heard about what we're trying to accomplish this weekend. This Saturday, June 14th, I'm going to run from Montauk to Long Beach to bring attention to our untapped energy potential from offshore wind.

Already hundreds have signed up to come to the rally at the end of the run, which is going to feature bands like "J and the 9's" and "NOHC" as well as speakers like Mary Anne Hitt, National Director of the Beyond Coal campaign.

Help support the Wind 100 run with just a few clicks by sharing on social media with your followers, friends, and family.

I've been so inspired by the response I've received so far and can't wait to join everyone in Long Beach. For now, the serious training is over: I'm just resting and eating in preparation for the run. Knowing that hundreds of you will be there inspires me.

So many of you have asked how you can follow along with my progress or support me. We're going to be posting my progress and pictures along the way on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook using #Wind100 and #WheresMattNow.

We'll also be collecting these posts and posting them all on the Wind 100 website at, so check in several times a day and join us in the evening as we broadcast the rally from Long Beach when I cross the finish line.

You can help promote my run! Donate a tweet or Facebook post with just a few clicks.

You can support me and spread the word in less than 2 minutes. Using a cool social media tool called Thunderclap, we're all going to post a short message on Saturday morning to kickstart the social media campaign.

This will help make #Wind100 a top trend and get more people watching. But I can't do it alone. You can make it happen by spreading the word.

Join us on social media by donating a Tweet or Facebook post and watch #Wind100 and #WheresMattNow to follow along.

Thanks for all you do to protect the environment,

Matt Kearns
