The 2015 Arizona Legislative Session is just around the corner and so is Environmental Day at the Capitol. The session starts on January 12th with a State of the State address by the new governor. This will be a challenging session for environmental protection. We will again be providing a watchdog function at the Legislature -- working to stop bad policies and promoting a few good ones as well -- and will be keeping you informed via regular legislative updates and alerts, briefings, and more. Thank you for your past support and I look forward to working with you in the new session. Environmental Day at the Capitol Everyone will be part of a team with an experienced leader and will be meeting with his or her own legislators, whenever possible. You can come for an hour or two or stay all day. It is a great opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and the issues and to make a difference.
We will have a challenging year ahead of us at the Arizona Legislature, but you can and will make a difference. Thank you for all of your support of our work and for agreeing to take actions to protect our state and the planet. Warm regards, ![]() Chapter Director Sierra Club – Grand Canyon Chapter (602) 253-8633 http://arizona.sierraclub.org |
