The Georgia Chapter is Moving!
The Georgia Chapter of the Sierra Club is moving offices. As of September 28th, the Georgia Chapter of the Sierra Club will be located in Decatur, GA. Because of the generosity of our donors, the Georgia Chapter will be saving precious funds by moving to Decatur and enjoying a new location rent free! The new office location will be 743 East College Avenue Suite B, Decatur, GA 30030 at East Decatur Station. This new location is only steps away from the Avondale Marta Station (E7). As a result, the Georgia Chapter office will be closed on September 24th and 25th to prepare for the move.
The Georgia Chapter will have better control over energy use in our facilities, use of wonderful greenspace right outside the office and be located near the heart of an environmentally forward-minded city. With the inclusion of public transit with a Marta station in downtown Decatur, a commitment to ample greenspace, a commitment to citywide recycling program and the Decatur Greenway Plan, Decatur is a great partner in the struggle for the preservation of our beautiful state. Please read more about Decatur by clicking here.
Please join the Georgia Chapter of the Sierra Club to celebrate our new office on October 22nd at 7p.m. for our Grand Opening! With our move, the Georgia Chapter is looking for certain items that may make our new offices even more efficient so our volunteers and staff can work even better at protecting Georgia’s environment. If you may be able to donate any of the items below please contact Genie Strickland at the Georgia Chapter Office at 404-607-1262 x 221.
