    Hawk Watch

    Spy on an Eagle
Fall means it's time for the southbound migration of hawks, falcons, and other raptors.

Over at Sierra Club Trails, "Birding Phil" reveals his favorite "hawk watch" spots and explains how to find the best place near you to check out the action.

    Honey Brothers

    Grenier, Gold, and Green
The Honey Brothers, a band featuring both Adrian Grenier and the real "Ari Gold," are on the road right now -- and they're making it totally green in terms of how they travel, where they stay, how they eat... the works.

To learn more about how they're doing it (and for a free download of their great new song, "Demonstration") visit the Climate Crossroads Green Music group

    We Got the Lead Out
Three years after the Sierra Club first drew attention to the issue, the EPA has finally taken real action to protect children from being poisoned by their own toys.

Best of all, hundreds of folks all over the country have signed up to host a "Party for Parks" where they'll watch a sneak-peek preview DVD and then send a note to Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar asking him to keep our national parks safe from new global-warming threats.

We Love Farmers MarketsWho Hates Farmers Markets?
Nobody that we know! Great produce, great prices, and you're helping the planet by supporting local growers. Farmers market fans now have their own home on our Climate Crossroads network -- a place to brag about your favorite market, share your best recipes, and connect with other market fans.

Right now, we're asking for photos from markets across the country -- anything from photogenic fruit to funky bags to favorite farmers. We'll highlight the best pics in a special slideshow and include everyone's contributions in a new Farmers Market Photomap of the U.S.A.

Join the group and add your photos now!

Sierra Club Voyager duffel bagHelp the Florida Panther
We've told you about the desperate situation for the Florida panther -- eight have been killed by vehicles alone this year. So far, more than 40,000 people have helped by signing our petition to Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, asking him to declare critical habitat for the panther. That's great -- but we want to reach our goal of 50,000 signatures.

Help us keep the momentum going and get a free gift by helping us reach our goal! We'll send YOU a free Sierra Club Voyager duffel bag if you refer at least five friends who are new to the Sierra Club and who sign our petition using our refer-a-friend website.

Our new refer-a-friend website, makes it easy to tell friends and family via email, Facebook, or Twitter that Florida panthers need help. And your friends won't ever be contacted by the Sierra Club unless they sign our petition and tell us that they want to know more.

The situation for the panthers is desperate -- they can't wait any longer for our help. Please take action and help spread the word right now!
