SRP Customers -- Speak Up for Clean Energy!
Thank SRP for increasing investment in energy efficiency and encourage it to continue increasing both energy efficiency and renewable energy commitments!
Please attend the SRP board meeting on February 11 at 9:30 a.m. or submit written comments.
Last fall, SRP agreed to postpone its proposed rate hike due to significant concerns about the size of the increase and SRP's limited investments in energy efficiency and clean renewable energy. As SRP starts a new rate proceeding, its customers need to let SRP know they want their dollars to focus on increased energy efficiency and renewable energy, not on coal and other dirty energy sources.
Your voice is needed! Comments can be submitted at the SRP board meeting (to be held at SRP Headquarters) or on the SRP website.
Let SRP know that you support increasing energy efficiency and renewable energy in order to save ratepayers money, reduce pollution, and protect public health!
More information about the proposal can be found at http://www.srpnet.com or by contacting Sandy Bahr at 602-253-8633 or sandy.bahr@sierraclub.org.
Arizona Corporation Commission Leading the Way on Energy Efficiency
In December 2009, the Arizona Corporation Commission voted unanimously to move forward with a formal rule to promote an energy efficiency standard that will achieve at least 20% in energy savings by 2020. This is a huge and important step for Arizona!
However, this is just one step in the process. Your help is needed to help advance this standard.
Please email the commissioners to let them know that you support the energy efficiency standard.
Increased energy efficiency will save us all money and will help reduce pollution!
In addition to thanking the Commissioners, please consider sending a letter to the editor in support of this standard.
