You could be breathing dirtier air if this legislation passes.
Urge them to vote against HB 1300 (Kilgore).
Under the current law, the Air Pollution Control Board can decide whether to require large polluters to make actual reductions in NOx and SO2 pollutants or allow trading of pollution credits outside the community where the pollution is being generated. This bill would deny the Air Board the authority to require actual pollution reductions.
Tell them to vote "No" to the Virginia Dirty Air Act, HB 1300.
Dirtier air could limit economic development opportunities in those areas that will not meet the EPA standards for ozone pollution. Those areas are NoVA, the Richmond and Hampton Roads areas.
