Calling all shutterbugs: Prepare to get wet during the March Trails Photo Contest, because this month's theme is "Water."
Anyone can submit a photo -- just head over to the Trails Monthly Photo Contest page, join the group (if you haven't already), and submit your best shot by March 12 for a chance to win a Sea Eagle sport kayak, Lowa hiking boots, and an Optimus stove and cook set.

If you're interested in the spectacular, bizarre, and fascinating behaviors that creatures like fruit bats, Komodo dragons, and humpback whales have evolved in order to thrive, then you'll love this show -- narrated by Oprah Winfrey -- when it premieres later this month.
Want to be one of the first to see what LIFE has to offer? To help raise awareness of the need to protect all species and their habitat from the effects of climate change, the Sierra Club and Discovery Channel are teaming up to organize House Parties for WildLIFE in advance of the premiere.
Sign up to host by Wednesday, March 10, invite at least three guests, and we'll send you a sneak-peek DVD along with tips for holding a successful party and materials so you and your guests can discuss what you learned and take action.

This week, the Sierra Club is joining forces with dozens of other organizations in a "72 Hours for Clean American Power" call-in to the U.S. Senate. The goal is to let our senators know that we don't want to wait another year for action on clean-energy and climate legislation that creates jobs, builds our economy, makes our country more secure, and protects our planet.
This call-in is only scheduled to last through Wednesday, so we've made it super easy to take part. Our clean-energy future is on the line -- now pick up the phone!
