Start by finding free Sierra Club hikes in your area. We lead thousands of hikes every year, so come on out and enjoy spring.
Looking for a nature walk you can do on your own or with a friend? Members of the Sierra Club Trails community have posted hundreds of hikes from all over the country. Join Trails and discover new places to explore and enjoy the planet.

Last week, Colorado Governor Bill Ritter signed into law a bill requiring that 30 percent of the state's electricity be generated from renewable sources by 2020, giving Colorado the highest renewable energy standard in the Mountain West and one of the highest nationally. "This is a huge victory for our coalition efforts," said Colorado Sierra Club organizer Roger Singer.
But, as Sierra Club Chairman Carl Pope noted in his blog yesterday, the coal industry wasted no time before launching a counterattack.
The Sierra Club Foundation is one of nine nonprofits entered in the environmental category of the Members Project from TakePart and American Express. Each week between now and May 24, you can vote for one nonprofit. Whichever one gets the most votes in its category will win $200,000, donated by American Express.
