Take Action: Save Our Wild Heritage Take Action: Save Our Wild Heritage

Republicans are pushing an extreme bill that would release more than 50 million acres of wilderness-quality and roadless lands and open them to development. Victory: Dam Removal Underway Victory: Dam Removal Underway

After decades of effort by many groups and individuals, including the Sierra Club and the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, the dams on the Elwha River are finally being removed. Removing the dams on the Olympic Peninsula -- the largest such project in the country -- will allow the river to run free and restore an important salmon fishery.
