Take Action: Send a Message of Thanks to the Obama Administration
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Transportation are proposing new fuel-efficiency and carbon-pollution standards for passenger cars and trucks manufactured from 2017 through 2025. This is the biggest single step we can take to curb climate disruption and cut our addiction to oil. These vitally important standards will protect our environment, economy, and national security. Tell the Obama administration thanks for these strong car standards. |

Grassroots Activism: Speaking Out Against Coal in NH
The New Hampshire Beyond Coal campaign made news last week when its coalition turned out dozens of people to an EPA public hearing on a water permit for the coal-fired power plant in Bow. The draft permit would require the utility to upgrade its cooling system to reduce massive fish kills by 95 percent. Beyond Coal activists and coalition partners, including Conservation Law Firms and Stonyfield Farms, dominated the hearing. |
