Take Action: Tell Your Representative "Don't put our transportation system in reverse!"
The House of Representatives is considering a transportation bill that would fund our nation's roads, bridges and transit systems in the coming years. Unfortunately, House leadership has hijacked the transportation bill and turned it into a wish list for Big Oil. Under their plan, the bill will cut funding for transportation choices such as biking and walking and pay for new roads by opening our public lands to oil drilling, even in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and off Florida's Gulf coast. Tell your member of Congress to oppose the House transportation bill and take up the Senate version. |
