Take Action: Keep the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Focused on Safety
President Obama has nominated, and the Senate has been asked to confirm, the appointment of Kristine Svinicki to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for a second term. Unfortunately, Svinicki has already spent five years on the NRC voting to make life easy for the nuclear industry. Svinicki voted to reject new, tighter safety measures for radioactive leaks that could have given a higher level of protection to both the public and the environment. The commission needs members who will put safety first, and Svinicki's record proves she will not.
Tell your senator to support nuclear safety by opposing Kristine Svinicki’s nomination.
