President Obama has nominated, and the Senate has been asked to confirm, the appointment of Kristine Svinicki to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for a second term. The groups delivered more than 50,000 petition signatures from Americans who want to protect the Arctic from Big Oil.
