Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber is taking comment on his draft 10-year energy plan for the state of Oregon. Click here to learn more about the plan and upcoming public meetings during July

The plan focuses on strategies to ensure that Oregon will meet its greenhouse gas reduction goals over the next decade, while strengthening our economy.

Please click here to e-mail the Governor by the July 31 deadline and speak up for a strong clean energy future for Oregon!

On July 26, the Oregon Board of Forestry will be voting on whether to create new 'high value conservation areas' on state forest lands. The creation of protected conservation areas is a key way to protect clean water, salmon, older forest habitat and recreational opportunities on state forests. Make your voice heard by signing our petition in support of state forest conservation areas.

Please contact northwest Oregon forest organizer Chris Smith to find out how you can help with the campaign and participate in the Board of Forestry's upcoming meeting.

Are you interested in saving $10,000 or more on your energy bills? You can by taking advantage of the Oregon Sierra Club's "go solar" program!

And, if you sign up today for a free solar evaluation (phone or on-site visit), you'll be entered to win one of four $50 gift cards to help you pay off your next electric bill! The drawing will be held July 31. There is no cost for the solar evaluation, and no obligation to go solar.

Beat the summer rush and start producing clean, renewable energy on your roof!

EarthShare, of which the Oregon Sierra Club is a member, engages people at their workplaces to garner new support for environmental endeavors throughout your local community, across Oregon, and around the world.

The Sierra Club's membership in EarthShare Oregon enables us to reach out to a broad cross–section of the state that might not otherwise learn about our work. This boosts our financial support and helps us build bridges to new volunteers and supporters.

Please click here to learn more about Earthshare Oregon and take a minute to check the list of EarthShare’s Business Partners.

Is your employer on the list? Will you help us convince your employer to take part in this important program?
