Issue #218 Turns out I'm not the only one suffering from an acute case of Foxitis. Robert Greenwald and the folks over at Brave New Films have put together a campaign showing just how outrageous and off-base their so-called "news" reporting is. After tackling Fox's disinformation about Barack Obama and black America, Greenwald has turned his attention to documenting Fox's slanderous attacks on the science and scientists behind global warming and climate crusader Al Gore. You better be sitting down before you watch this one! Worst of all, News Corp (Fox's parent company) boss Rupert Murdoch swears he's had an epiphany on global warming and has pledged to make his entire business empire carbon neutral very shortly. The Sierra Club, MoveOn, and a coalition of other progressive groups are sick and tired of Murdoch's money being far from where his mouth is (my boss tells me I'm not allowed to say exactly where I think it is now). In response, we're asking everyone to watch the Brave New Films video and sign the Sierra Club's petition telling Home Depot -- another company claiming eco-friendliness -- to stop padding Fox's bottom line with their advertising dollars until Fox shapes up. Join the 175,000 people who've watched the video already, then head over and sign the petition! |
