Dear
Last week, you and 2500 other people took action and did something Texas Congressmen Canseco and Farenthold have yet to do: you voiced your support for wind energy and the thousands of Texans working in the wind industry. Nicely done, team!
Now- its time to raise the stakes and amplify our voices!
The first thing you can do is just forward this email to five of your friends. If just one of them takes action, we'll double the number of messages going in to our reluctant Congressmen!
Or, share this alert on Facebook with our handy share buttons.
Oh, and one more thing: Congressmen Farenthold and Canseco, who are key in influencing the vote in the US House, pay attention to their social media presence. Post on their Facebook and Twitter and let them know Wind Works for Texas! We've even got sample messages to share on Facebook!
Thanks for everything you do to protect the future of our planet and clean energy,
Dave Cortez

Tell Congress to Save Texas Wind Industry Jobs Support the Extension of the Production Tax Credit for Wind and Clean Energy |
It's no secret that wind works for Texas.
Texas is a national leader in wind energy production with over 10,000 megawatts of production; enough to power 2.5 million homes and avoid nearly 19 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
Investments in wind have helped generate over $115 million in annual property tax payments, and created over 8,000 jobs in Texas' manufacturing, operations, transportation, and construction sectors.
Tell our members of Congress that Wind Works for Texas.
As wind provides us with a clean, drought-proof supply of energy, it is rapidly becoming a staple of the Texas economy. But wind is in jeopardy – the Production Tax Credit (PTC) is in danger of not being renewed.
While the wind industry stalls and Texans' jobs are put at risk, Texas' members of Congress dither instead of extending these vital tax credits. Representatives Quico Canseco and Blake Farenthold refuse to do anything to save the jobs in their districts and throughout that state.
Tell Reps. Canseco and Farenthold it's time to stand up for Texas jobs. Tell them Wind Works in the Lone Star State!
Orders have stalled. Projects are being sidelined. Without the PTC, wind in Texas will come to a standstill. The uncertainty being created by not having already passed an extension is already affecting the industry. Their only hope is swift action.
The PTC has bipartisan support in both houses of Congress, but it is being held hostage by special interests who control the Speaker's office. If members of Congress in key districts start raising the issue, they will have no choice but to hold a vote. It's time for voices from all corners of the state to weigh in with Representatives Canseco and Farenthold and tell them to act.
Tell Representatives Canseco and Farenthold to stand up for Texas jobs, and support renewal of the Production Tax Credit before the year is out.
