Please Take Action to Oppose the SunZia Transmission Corridor Comments are due August 22 -- this Wednesday! The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking public comments on a proposed transmission corridor that would transect hundreds of miles of our public lands. Please take action on this important issue today. The proposed SunZia transmission corridor would cut through more than 500 miles of public and private lands, fragmenting habitat, negatively affecting more than 270 special-status species, introducing invasive plants, affecting our waterways, and more. In short, it would irreparably harm unique and important ecosystems. We urge you to submit comments to the BLM today, asking that it selects the No Action alternative and ensures that this project is not built. Comments are due on Wednesday, August 22. You can view the Draft Environmental Impact Statement online. For more information, please contact Sandy Bahr at (602) 253-8633 or sandy.bahr@sierraclub.org. |
