Dear
Fellow Sierran
Here's what's in this week's edition of CoolCATs Weekly:
1) Now that's a rally
2) Social Mediums
3) Last Chance to Vote for Executive Committee
1) Now that's a rally
|
Yesterday was historic, as many thousands thronged the streets of Washington, D.C. to witness the birth of a movement to fight global warming. We had worked hard and hoped for a crowd of 25,000, and we got 50,000! Unsurprisingly, the Forward on Climate Rally has generated a lot of press. Here are some choice pieces: In Pictures, On Huffington Post (w/video), and the resulting political calculus in the NY Times.
|
2) Social Mediums
|
If you look closely at the picture from the NY Times story cited above, you'll see a man holding a video camera above the crowd in the lower left. That's our own Robert Malin who is active on the Chapter's Communications Committee. We will be producing a video about the Chapter's successful involvement in the rally, part of our diverse educative communications strategy. If you're not safisfied with this once weekly email newsletter, I strongly encourage you to follow us through whichever social media you frequent: YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

3) Last Chance to Vote for Executive Committee
|
Not to be forgotten in all the hubbub, we are still in the midst of our executive committee elections and potential Chapter renaming. Have you weighed in yet?
