Representative Ron Barber recognizes the Arizona Corporation Commission's efforts to derail renewable energy programs and is encouraging people to take action. In a recent guest column in the Arizona Daily Star, Barber wrote the "ACC shows hostile, destructive thinking on solar power's promise" by eliminating incentives for business owners to put solar on their rooftops, greatly reducing incentives for residential solar, and proposing to roll back mandates for regulated utilities to produce 15% of their power from renewable energy sources. Barber points out that these decisions take our state backwards, losing important jobs and hurting our wallets, while neighboring states surge forward. Please read the article, then send Representative Barber a note to say thank you for standing up for clean energy! |
