Take Action: The U.S. Export-Import Bank Must Move Beyond Coal President Obama has promised to lead on climate, but his nominee to lead the U.S. Export-Import (ExIm) Bank -- Fred Hochberg -- has supported a dirty fossil fuel binge with our taxpayer dollars. There is another way. Thanks to a robust climate policy and strong leadership, ExIm's sister institution -- the Overseas Private Investment Corporation -- has financed over $1 billion in clean energy in 2013. Even better, they didn't support a single fossil fuel project. Chairman Hochberg has announced he is staying at ExIm for President Obama's second term. Tell Chairman Hochberg to stop funding fossil fuel projects. Grassroots Activism: Responding to Arkansas's Major Oil Spill Sierra Club Arkansas's Glen Hooks has been working overtime to bring attention to the families affected by ExxonMobil's tar sands oil pipeline spill in Mayflower, Arkansas, last week. Glen has been on MSNBC, CNN, NBC Nightly News, and even The Colbert Report talking about this latest spill and how the Keystone XL pipeline could have even worse spills.
