Dear
Keystone XL is toxic and deadly -- and its only official hearing is today in Nebraska.
Stand in solidarity with those in the pipeline's path: Use #NoKXL across social media |
Keystone XL is toxic and deadly. It would enable one of the dirtiest and most extreme fuels on earth to rip apart our climate -- and yet the State Department is only giving it one official hearing, today in Nebraska.
Outrageous.
That just means it's our job to make this hearing as big as possible especially now that Exxon's Arkansas tar sands spill has shown the country what Keystone XL will look like.
There are several ways you can show solidarity with those testifying and rallying at the hearing today -- including hundreds of Sierra Club supporters like you -- and make your voice heard by the State Department right alongside theirs:
-- Tweet to @WhiteHouse and @StateDept that you're against the pipeline. You can use this handy share button, or you can write your own tweet:
-- Visit BeyondOil.org. We'll be covering the hearing all day, so check back often for updates.
-- Use the hashtag #NoKXL everywhere you can, including in tweets and on Instagram, to stand in solidarity, and we might include your posts in our live coverage at beyondoil.org!
-- Make your own “Another ____ against #NoKXL" sign.
Take your picture with the sign, and email it to
keystonecomments@state.gov as another official comment! (Be sure to CC
forwardonclimate@gmail.com so we know how many have been submitted.)
TransCanada and Big Oil just don't get it: We need to put people before profits. Stand in solidarity with those at the hearing by taking the actions above, and use the hashtag #noKXL everywhere you can!
Thanks for all you do to protect the environment,
