1) Thanksgiving for Family and Activism
It may not be easy being an activist with a big young family, but it is rewarding. I am grateful for the good for which I fight, and I am grateful to all of you who support me as I go about it. Last week, I was fortunate enough to be asked to contribute a retrospective on my activism to the Providence Phoenix for their 35th Anniversary Special (I just happen to be 35, you see). Anyhow, please read it and share it with the other activists in your life. Let's breed some more activism in RI.

2) Growing Solar Event Lights Up Newport
On Wednesday of last week, I was honored to participate in Environment Rhode Island's Growing Solar in RI event, held at Salve Regina University. The night featured an impressive twelve member panel of policy makers, advocates and solar industry professionals who took open and moderated questions. EcoRI has some excellent coverage of the proceedings.

3) Students Make Climate Splash in Burnside Park
Thankfully, I'm not the only one out there pushing climate activism. Over the weekend, members of the Rhode Island Student Climate Coalition put on a imaginative global warming awareness raising event in Providence's Burnside Park. You can read all about it in the Providence Journal.

4) International Climate Talks Limp Forward
It would be nice if policy makers at the international level (particularly our own!) were equally concerned with taking action to avoid climate disaster. Unfortunately, the climate talks that took place in Poland last week were not very productive. Here's a quick and easy summation of where things now stand.
