Dear
The RI Coastal Resources Management Council (CCRM) is accepting comments on offshore wind -- send the CCRM a message for offshore wind today! |
Most of the energy that Rhode Islanders use comes from polluting sources outside our home state but the Deepwater wind project off the coast of Block Island can help change that.
Currently, the only source of energy for Block Island residents is diesel generators, which means they burn more than one million gallons a year, just to keep the lights on and beverages cold on hot summer days. The pollution from burning that much diesel is bad for residents, visitors , wildlife, coastal estuaries, and our climate.
The Coastal Resources Management Council (CRMC) is accepting public comments on the offshore wind proposal and you can help support it by sending the CRMC a message letting them know you want offshore wind.
The robber barons of the fossil fuel industries have polluted our lungs and climate long enough. Be a part of Rhode Island's clean energy future and support the Deepwater Wind Block Island project with your neighbors.
Deepwater Wind's project, far from the shore of Block Island, will replace burning diesel and the pollution it dumps into our air.
Thanks for all you do to protect the environment,
Abel
