Take Action: Thank Secretary Jewell for Working to Protect the Organ Mountains Rising nearly 9,000 feet tall, the Organ Mountains lie just east of Las Cruces, New Mexico.. The steep-sided crevices, canyons, and majestic spires of the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks area hosts stunning views, great recreation opportunities, archaeological sites, and native plants found nowhere else. Last week, Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell came to visit the area and hear from the public about how important additional protections are for the region.

Take Action
Thank Secretary Jewell for her visit and tell her to protect the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument permanently.

Take Action: Demand Justice for West Virginia Take Action: Demand Justice for West Virginia

A devastating chemical spill on the Elk River has poisoned the drinking water for over 300,000 people in West Virginia. Many people are still relying on bottled water to drink, cook, and bathe.

It is no secret that Governor Earl Ray Tomblin, the WV legislature, and the WV Department of Environmental Protection have worked to undercut protections for people's health and the environment in favor of the coal and chemical industry. Unfortunately, this chemical spill is not an isolated incident. There is a silent water crisis in West Virginia, where communities living near coal mines face similar dangers each day.

Take Action
Sign the petition and tell President Obama that West Virginia leaders cannot be trusted to regulate the coal industry.
