Dear
Fellow Sierran
Here's what's in this week's edition of CoolCATs Weekly:
1) Resilient RI Act: the Hearing
2) Resilient RI Act: the Coverage
3) My take
4) The Petition
5) Send your letters, too!
6) Renewable Tax Credit
2) Resilient RI Act: the Coverage
|
The hearing did generate significant press coverage, and I encourage everyone to share it with their friends to help spread the good news. Here it is on RIPR, the AP, the Warwick Beacon, and in the Projo. Our task now will be to make sure that it stays in the news.

4) The Petition
|
Speaking of the petition, SIGN IT if you haven't already. If you have, then I would ask you to do everything you feel comfortable with to help get it out there. Share it via email, embed it on your website, post it on all your favorite social media. We need to hit them full force. Additionally, if you're a business owner, and you'd like to join the business coalition we're organizing in support of the Resilient RI Act, please send me an email at abel.collins@sierraclub.org.
|
5) Send your letters, too!
|
We have another more personalizable way to make your voice heard in support of the bill, too. You can use our action alert to send email messages directly to your lawmakers. Please consider choosing the option to edit it so it is more personally meaningful for you and them.
|
6) Renewable Tax Credit
|
I would be remiss if I didn't mention the Renewable Energy Tax Credit hearing, which also took place last week. This renewable incentive would go a long way toward revitalizing the residential solar market, and it's just the type of policy that would be favored under the Resilient RI Act when it passes, but let's not wait for that. The hearing did get some nice press from the Projo. You can help get this bill passed with this action alert.
