TELL GOVERNOR TOMBLIN TO SUPPORT ENERGY EFFICIENCY!
Dear
It's important we make our voices
heard for energy efficiency now because one of the three Public Service Commissioners just resigned
from his position and Governor Tomblin will soon be appointing his replacement. The WV Public Service Commission (PSC) regulates electric utilities and helps decide what kinds of energy efficiency programs we have.
Strong energy efficiency programs from our utilities, American Electric Power and FirstEnergy, would create more than 19,000 jobs and cut our electric bills by $800 million statewide. On top of this, energy efficiency programs give us more control over our energy use and increase the health of our communities.
With important PSC decisions coming up on the investigation into the Freedom MCHM leak, electric rates from AEP and FirstEnergy, FirstEnergy’s multi-year energy efficiency plan, and more, now is the time to advocate for energy efficiency. Your voice is critical.
To help create jobs and reduce energy costs Governor Tomblin should be a public advocate for energy efficiency -- and you can help make that happen!
Thanks for all you do to protect the environment,
Amanda Gardner
