1) Take Action: Urge Your Senators to Extend Clean Energy Tax Incentives!
Your Senators are back in the chambers today and are currently deciding whether to extend key clean energy tax incentives that will create clean energy jobs, jumpstart the economy, and reduce global warming pollution.

You can help them by telling your Senators that a vote for clean energy tax incentives is the right vote for the environment and the economy.

2) Take Action: Wild and Wonderful West Virginia
A bill currently before the U.S. House of Representatives could permanently protect some of West Virginia’s last great wild places.

The Wild Monongahela Act will ensure that West Virginia's Monongahela National Forest remains wild and wonderful for many generations to come by designating seven new or expanded wilderness areas, totaling more than 47,000 acres within the Monongahela National Forest.

3) César Chávez:Sí Se Puede. It Can Be Done
As founder of the United Farm Workers, labor and environment leader César Chávez worked to gain rights for farmworkers and to ensure healthier communities for all people. As we celebrate his birthday and his memory this week, the spotlight turns to Washington, where Congress is considering a bill to study significant lands in Chávez’s life and work for inclusion into the National Park System.

Chávez’s courageous life has inspired many to continue the fight for environmental justice, so our children and families have a stronger, healthier future. Chávez’s legacy, like that of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., continues to educate, inspire and empower people from all walks of life, and should be celebrated.

Hopefully soon we will all be able celebrate César E. Chávez National Holiday!

4) Global Warming: We Can Solve It
The Alliance for Climate Protection, headed by former vice president Al Gore is launching a three-year, $300 million campaign to push for strong Congressional action to fight global warming.

The "we" campaign will use online organizing and television ads as part of an effort to translate Americans' growing awareness of global warming into national policy changes. The campaign will be one of the most expensive and ambitious in U.S history.

Find out how you can be a part of the campaign.
