2008 Legislative Session Begins May 13

NC Sierra Club has been an important voice for the environment for over 30 years in the North Carolina General Assembly. When the session begins May 13, we will be there every day working on issues important to you. We'll send you regular email updates about the issues, how they're moving through the legislative process, and how you can get involved. Plus, we have a legislative tracker on our website to keep you informed about where lawmakers go on water policy, energy initiatives, coastal management and transportation. Stay tuned!

Help us our make annual lobby day the best ever! Our annual citizen lobby day tradition continues this year on Wednesday, June 24. Register today by sending an email to Christa Wagner.

Board of Directors Election

Each candidate running for the 2008 Sierra Club Board of Directors answered sixteen questions regarding their candidacy, club policy, and leadership background. We encourage all Sierra Club members to vote for the next Board by mail or on the website.

Editor's note: The outings photo in Issue 1 lacked an acknowledgment. The photographer, Bill Troop, took the photo on the Mt. Rogers trip earlier this year.
