The Oregon Sierra Club has launched a campaign to secure greater protection for nearly 80,000 acres of wild, roadless forest in the Waldo Lake-Maiden Peak area in Oregon’s Cascade Mountains. Why? It may surprise you to know that most of the area to the east and south, including the 14 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail, have no permanent protection from logging and other human intrusions. We want to change that. Click here to learn more about the campaign!
You can be an important part of our work to protect our forests and public lands in eastern and central Oregon. No matter what your skills or interests, YOU CAN HELP!
Please let us know if you'd like to get more involved! The information you provide below will help us match your interests with upcoming projects, activities, and other opportunities.
