Make Illinois Greener - Volunteer with Sierra Club!
There
are a million and one ways to get involved with Sierra Club. We're
tackling climate change, protecting the wild parts of Illinois and
keeping our lakes and rivers clean but we can't do it alone, we need
your help! No matter if you've just got an afternoon to spare or want
to become involved with one of our campaigns, your skills are needed
and passion for the environment is welcomed.

Water - Join our Water Sentinals team and participate in water testing or do a wetlands blitz. Meet other Sierrans on a beach clean up. Concerned about the Asian Carp? Join our Great Lakes Action Team
Conservation - To the North we've got the Hackmatack National Wildlife Refuge in the works and down South, the Shawnee National Forest provides plenty of opportunity to get out and do some good.
Energy - Climate change is one of the biggest issues we face globally today, but we can make a difference locally! Make your community healthier by advocating for renewable energy like wind and solar and pressuring coal plants to clean up the pollution they spout.
Community Outreach - One of the most rewarding experiences can be getting out and talking to folks about environmental issues at festivals, expo's and community events. We also receive more requests than we can fill for speaker presentations. If you've got expertise on an environmental issue, we'd love to hear from you!
Online Action Team - Make a huge difference by doing what you already do anyway, and Facebook for a cause! Join our Online Action Team and blog, tweet and facebook about Sierra Club issues and make green go viral!!
Write a Letter to the Editor - Even in this age of social media and quick fast messaging, reaching out to your local paper by writing an Letter to the Editior is a very effective way to reach out to your community and make your voice heard. We're looking for people who would be willing to submit LTE's periodically on our issues.
Office Work (Downtown Chicago Office) - There is always general office work to be done. Anytime you're free to sort or file, we'd love to have you!

Design or Photography - Do you have an eye for the arts? We're always looking for photos of scenic Illinois or people with design skills to help with images for our publications. We'll of course credit you for your for your fantastic work. Web Skills - contact us, there is always a need for your expertise!
