We've been waiting for 50 years to permanently protect the pristine wilderness of the Arctic Refuge, and now we're almost there. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is considering recommending that the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge be designated as a Wilderness Area, which would permanently protect it from oil and gas drilling.
But we need your help to get across the finish line. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service needs to hear from your friends, family and neighbors that they want the Arctic Refuge to be protected for future generations.
Sign up to be an Arctic Hero and pledge to collect at least 30 signatures for the Arctic Refuge by November 7th.
Everyone who collects at least 50 signatures will receive a beautiful poster commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Arctic Refuge.
You can collect signatures face-to-face or online through Facebook, Twitter and email. We'll give you everything you need to be successful: petitions, fact sheets, tips and the opportunity to ask policy experts and organizers your questions.
