Make the Call: Tell your Governor to Vote Against Fracking the Delaware

At any moment, the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) can call a vote to approve a final set of rules that would allow natural gas development and destruction in the Delaware River Basin. Right now, these rules fail to guarantee protection for those who live downstream, putting over 15 million at risk.

The proposed rules do not take into account the devastating effects that massive water withdrawals, well-pad development, and hydraulic fracturing would have on the sensitive Delaware watershed. For that reason, we need you to tell them to vote no on these weak proposed regulations.

Make a call to your governor and the Army Corps of Engineers to tell them to reject the proposed fracking regulations for the Delaware River Basin.

Thank Governors Markell and Cuomo for committing to a NO vote.
Delaware Governor Markell: (302) 577-3210
New York Governor Cuomo: (518) 474-8390

Tell Governors Christie and Corbett, President Obama and the Army Corps Engineer to also vote NO.
New Jersey Governor Christie: (609) 292-6000
Pennsylvania Governor Corbett:  (717) 787-2500
Army Corps Engineer Colonel Christopher Larsen: (347) 370-4501

Suggested Talking Points:

  • The proposed regulations on natural gas drilling in the Delaware Watershed are too weak and should be rejected.
  • The Delaware River Watershed is the main source of drinking water and economic well-being for over 15 million people. Protecting our drinking water should be your first priority.
  • The proposed rules do not take into account the devastating effects that massive water withdrawals, well-pad development, and hydraulic fracturing would have on the sensitive Delaware watershed.

After you make your calls, please share what happened or if you received any information about how your governor will vote.
