• One in three American children live in areas where air pollution levels can be dangerous. Cleaner-burning gasoline will mean less smog-forming pollution from car tailpipes -- giving Americans cleaner air to breathe, saving lives, and reducing asthma attacks.
• A study by Navigant Economics stated that the health benefits from these standards would have an estimated value of $11 billion per year by 2030 and installing new refinery technology would create more than 5,000 permanent jobs and 24,500 construction jobs.
