The Sierra Club has worked to clean up or encourage the shutting down of dirty polluting fossil fuel power plants and substitute the use of clean, renewable forms of energy such as wind and solar power.

In addition, the Club is opposing the development plans near the Schoodic Peninsula and is working with other community groups to ensure that this area is protected from incompatible land uses.
