Since 1968, the Sierra Club has worked to preserve the Adirondack Park and the grand public/private partnership experiment that it represents. Today the Sierra Club is focused on protecting the Adirondack Park on several fronts, from promoting the creation of a wilderness canoe area to protecting the Saranac River from commercial development.

As we continue to feel the effects of climate change, it is more important than ever that we create safe havens for wildlife and try to limit non-climate-related stresses on our natural surroundings.
