Our crumbling, car-dependent, transportation system keeps us addicted to oil, draining over half a billion dollars from our economy each day. Americans are paying record prices at the pump while oil companies are raking in record profits. We need a transportation system that moves us beyond oil and gives Americans 21st century transportation choices like world-class public transit, passenger rail, efficient cars, and safe pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure. The Sierra Club is presenting a webinar series entitled "Transportation for the 21st Century" starting in April, 2011, and continuing through the year. Join us to hear from experts on transportation solutions that can break America's oil addiction, and learn about how you can join our efforts to move beyond oil.
