Thanks for making your call!

You should receive a call back shortly to be connected to the White House.

If you do not receive a call back, you can call the White House directly at 202-456-1111.

Sample script:

"Hi, my name is _________. I'm calling today to urge President Obama to protect the Polar Bear Seas from oil drilling. The Arctic is now warming twice as fast as the rest of the nation, and oil drilling there would just make things worse. The Arctic is a special place and needs to be protected. Thank you for your time."

Talking points:

  • Climate disruption is an increasingly big problem for the U.S., between floods, droughts, and other extreme weather. Instead of drilling in the Arctic, which will worsen climate change, we should be investing in clean energy.
  • The Polar Bear Seas are home to 20 percent of the Earth's polar bears, as well as whales, seals and many migratory birds. A spill there would be disastrous.
  • If you have a personal experience with climate disruption in your community, share it.

Hi there,

For the last few weeks, "exiled polar bears" have been traveling the US to draw attention to the impacts of climate change on the Arctic and in the Lower 48. I just called the White House to protect their Arctic home - you should too!

Thanks!
