Los Angeles Skyline

Since Mayor Villaraigosa announced his bold goal to get Los Angeles off coal back in 2009, thousands of average Angelenos -- regular people from all walks of life -- have joined the L.A. Beyond Coal campaign calling for our city's transition from dirty coal to clean energy.

And the hard work of activists like you is paying off. L.A. is on the cusp of ending its reliance on dirty coal.

As we near the finish line, we want you to have a front row seat to a major announcement about LA's transition off of coal. You don't even have to leave your office or living room to do so.

Join us on Friday, March 22, for a livestream event featuring Mayor Villaraigosa and Al Gore about L.A. ending its reliance on dirty coal.

Here are the details:

WHO: You, your friends, Sierra Club activists, and Angelenos everywhere!

WHAT: Livestream of a major announcement by Mayor Villaraigosa, Al Gore, and our Executive Director, Michael Brune, to end L.A.'s reliance on dirty coal.

WHEN: Friday, March 22, at 11:00 a.m. PT

WHERE: Watch from the comfort of your desk or couch via your internet-enabled computer. If you are in L.A., join us and watch the announcement in person at the LADWP Headquaters located at 111 N Hope St, Los Angeles, CA 90012 [Map].
