Don't let Big Coal win: Attend a coal exports hearing in Tacoma!
Right now, coal executives are betting that you won't show up in Tacoma next Thursday.
Why? They are hoping that they can sneak what would be North America's biggest coal export terminal into Southwest WA because they're desperate to sell their coal to a new market.
What does Tacoma have to do with you?
There's a hearing in Tacoma about this plan on Thursday, October 17, and they are hoping if you don’t show up than local, state and federal agencies will give them the green light to build this dangerous coal terminal regardless of what it will cost our families, communites and the climate.
Stand up now to ensure that, just as we are reducing our coal use here in the US, we don't just export that coal -- and that pollution -- to other countries, devastating our communities in the process.
RSVP now and ensure coal exports is not the legacy we leave for our state and future generations.
