ENJOY
Love the arctic? Check out these great shirts from Shirt Woot.

Arctic T-Shirts
In support of the Sierra Club's Arctic Love campaign, our friends at Shirt Woot held one of their design derbies for "a shirt that shows what you love most about the Arctic." The top vote-getter features the cutest polar bear/narwhale pairing in the history of western civilization, but we also loved the runner-up that highlights the Arctic Circle's amazing biodiversity. Both shirts are available for a limited time from Shirt Woot.
On the Radio
1) Seamus Dever, from the hit ABC TV show Castle, on how he gave up his car for seven days in Los Angeles 2) Green cuisine tips from Annie Somerville, executive chef at Greens restaurant 3) Political update from the Sierra Club's executive director, Michael Brune 4) Avital Binshtock on Sierra magazine's Winter Sweepstakes.

Help protect our wildlands - send a message!

Unfinished Business
Before Congress recesses, ask your senators to pass several important locally supported wild lands bills that would establish Wilderness Areas, National Monuments, and Wild and Scenic Rivers.
Watch our video and learn about our 2010 successes! 2010 Victories: All Over the Map
We had no shortage of challenges in 2010 -- starting with the worst environmental disaster in American history -- but Sierra Club volunteers and staff rose to the occasion time and again to make us proud. Whether protecting Americans from toxic chemicals in their own backyards or helping kids discover the natural world by way of a fishing pole, the Sierra Club was making a difference all over the map -- as Executive Director Michael Brune and Conservation Director Sarah Hodgdon show in our 2010 Success video.

Find out who wins - the e-reader or the book. E-Readers versus Books

More than a million people are expected to get e-readers such as Kindles and iPads this holiday season. Will replacing all those paper-based books help the environment? As so often is the case, the answer is "It depends." Jennifer Schwab of Sierra Club Green Home explained on ABC's Good Morning America exactly when an e-reader makes sense -- and revealed the greenest reading solution of all.

Have a question? Mr. Green's got the answer.

Check out the activist network and get involved! Kudos to Activist Network Pioneers
As we reflect on the first year of our Activist Network Online Community, we want to give a shout-out to the pioneering teams that have harnessed these tools to bring people in and get work done. Like the Wildlands Team, which tracks and promotes wilderness proposals and co-hosted two lobby weeks in 2010; the Hydrofracking Team on natural gas drilling, which has grown to more than 130 members in less than a year; and the Water Sentinels, with a national team and 13 local teams. Watch the episodes and take the pledge! Greening the Liquor Cabinet
Used to be that if you wanted a "green" cocktail, you'd get a concoction made with crŔme de menthe. Not anymore. If you're planning to imbibe this holiday season, check out the recommendations for eco-friendly sprits that Sierra magazine's Green Life gathered from various potable professionals. Whether it's organic vodka or electricity-generating rum, these drinks put a new spin on responsible drinking.

Show your love for the arctic! Win Some Wintertime Fun

Do you like cross-country skiing? Or snowshoeing? How about just sitting by a roaring fire, toasting your tootsies and sipping cocoa? You could be doing all of that this winter if you win the Grand Prize in Sierra magazine's Winter Sports Travel Contest -- a five-night trip including airfare to the Hotel Park City in Utah.

There are plenty of other only-slightly-less-grand prizes, too. All you have to do is fill out one little form (and get a little lucky). Don't delay -- the deadline for entering is just around the corner.

Find out more about green investing - check out the blog. A New Resource for Green Investors
The Sierra Club and Green Alpha Advisors, LLC, have launched a new blog for people who are interested in environmentally responsible investing. Called "Green Alpha's Next Economy," it will cover the emerging green economy, green investing, and the roles of climate science, policy, and trends. According to Green Alpha Advisors cofounder Garvin Jabusch: "We're committed to the idea that the global environment and world economy can come into equilibrium, and this will be our forum for discussing progress toward that goal."
