The Obama administration is in the process of securing clearer clean water protections for American's drinking water sources. These Clean Water Act protections come after years of confusion stemming from misguided policies initiated by the previous administration that put millions of acres of wetlands and a majority of the nation's stream miles at risk of pollution and destruction.
Take Action: Support Incentives for Off-Shore Wind
As 2011 comes to a close and still no off-shore wind farms have been built in US waters, it's time to support the measures that will make that clean energy happen. A key tax incentive is expiring at the end of 2012 that gives off-shore wind developers access to a 30 percent investment tax credit (ITC).
More than 90 people gathered at a recent offshore-wind town hall in Maryland to learn more about this promising renewable energy source. The Maryland Sierra Club helped organize the event and called it very promising.
