Take Action -- Make the Call for Good Transportation Policy -- Read more. Take Action: Make the Call for Good Transportation Policy

This Friday, the law that funds our nation's roads, bridges and transit system will expire. The Senate has already passed a transportation bill with an overwhelming bipartisan majority that would increase access to clean, convenient transportation options, such as transit, biking, and walking. But instead of passing a version of the Senate's bill, House leaders are threatening to simply extend the current law, in effect kicking the can down the road, so they can pass a worse law.

Please pick up the phone today and ask your congressional representative to pass HR 14 which is the Senate's smart transportation bill. We'll give you some good talking points -- your call will make the difference!

House Republicans are proposing a dangerous and irresponsible bill that would gut the Clean Air Act. These Big Coal and Big Oil cheerleaders in Congress are going after protections that would clean up toxic air pollution from power plants and automobiles. Their bill, misleadingly named the Gasoline Regulations Act, would actually be a handout for corporate polluters and make our families sick.

Tell your representative to stand up for public health and oppose this bill.

Thanks to hard-working activists like you, this week we delivered more than 25,000 comments for the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) to consider in their rule-making on Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) programs.

PACE programs made it possible for homeowners to put solar panels on their roofs and to invest in energy-efficiency upgrades without having to take out a personal loan. The FHFA dropped the program because it considered it "risky," -- a decision that affected 27 states with beneficial local PACE programs. Bringing back PACE programs will be a good investment in making it possible or homeowners to save money through clean energy and efficiency.
