October 2012

Dear Friend,

You get emails, newsletters, and calls from us every month asking for you to take an action, get involved, sign a letter, and so much more! This month, my main ask for you is to have fun with fellow members and supporters of the Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter at our annual Oktoberfest!

Celebrate the beginning of autumn with us with music, a glass of locally crafted beer, pretzels and a sumptuous array of fall foods. Meet other members of our Chapter. Find out about exciting activities and events you can be a part of. And this year, you will have the opportunity to take home great prizes by bidding in our very first Oktoberfest silent auction!

Help The Sierra Club Spread Solar Power And GET $1000 Cash (in October only!)
The Sierra Club supports renewable energy wherever possible, and particularly when the source is right where it will be used! So Sierra Club is working with Sungevity to make rooftop solar at your home easier for you! Sungevity will size and install panels on your roof, and give you a special lease rate. They guarantee that the lease payment plus the 'new' electricity bill will be less than the 'old' electricity bill, or they won't take on the job. You save money from day 1, AND they will actually pay you and the Chapter for the privilege of doing business. Our solar campaign offers the homeowner $750 cash back, but for the month of October only Sungevity will give you a rebate to $1,000 and $1000 to the chapter!
