Take Action: Don't Frack Our National Forests Take Action: Don't Frack Our National Forests

Last year, the U.S. Forest Service proposed to keep dangerous and dirty oil and gas horizontal drilling and fracking out of the George Washington National Forest in Virginia and West Virginia. This unique and beautiful forest supplies critical wildlife habitats, as well as recreation opportunities and clean drinking water for millions of residents and visitors annually.

Now the oil and gas industry is again pressuring the Obama administration to allow fracking in this forest.

Take Action
Tell the U.S. Forest Service to stand firm in its plan to prohibit fracking in the George Washington National Forest.

Take Action: Tell the EPA to Protect Communities from Carbon Pollution Take Action: Tell the EPA to Protect Communities from Carbon Pollution

Last week the Environmental Protection Agency released carbon pollution safeguards for new power plants. We've known for decades that carbon wrecks our health and our climate, and power plants are the nation's top source. Their pollution fuels climate disruption -- warm summer weekends become scorching heat waves and floods become disasters. Unlimited carbon pollution means more smog, more asthma attacks, and more climate disruption.

Take Action
Tell the EPA you support these new safeguards and that it's time to finalize them.
